I didn't like the Virgin ad at all (partly because Nina Simone never picked up a penny in royalties for that song, and party because it was a bit sleazy) but I thought the Yeo Valley one was a hoot.

I couldn't disagree more! I've flown in all three classes on Virgin. Virgin's Upper Class leaves BA's Club World for dead, Virgin's Premium Economy is significantly better than BA's World Traveller Plus, and Virgin cattle-class has more leg-room and friendlier staff than BA's cattle-class.

Virgin is my first choice of airline on any route they fly.

Yes, PE and Upper Class would agree, but having experienced two very bad overnight transatlantic flights with Virgin in cattle class, the subsequent BA night time transatlantic flight was better. I think sometimes it depends on the fellow passengers and I no longer see any discernable difference in the quality of passengers between each airline on the route I regularly fly.

Hmm. Who would think that any of that Virgin advert applied to sardine-class passengers?

Thats kind of the point isn't it?

In the same way with Audi's TV adverts the only car they show is an R8 Spider! a £80k + car that the advert will have no impact on the sales figures for... its all about image! BMW and Mercedes don't do a 911/Ferrari competitor so Audi have balstered the 'Sportier German Option' image more. Virgin are going for 'our airhostesses are fitter' option.

she didnt write it, hers was a cover so why would you not like the advert for her not getting a penny from Muse's cover of a song from the west end musical the roar of the greasepaint the smell of the crowd?
makes no sense to me?

on topic... I like the advert, I like muse. win all round.

Not much any airline can do about the quality of passengers ... But Virgin has more legroom, friendlier staff and a better entertainment system (except on the older aircraft).

Several ( dozen) years ago - pre- Mrs CC, I had a girlfriend who became a Virgin!

They were a great company to work for them when Dickie Pickle was at the helm.
