Chance would be a fine thing. So long as don't make you gag, I dont see what the problem is, at the end of the day it's the fluid thats important not the taste, but then I only drink water.

It isn't so much the taste that shall be the problem, but the fact that it is in a sealed container. It shall be very easy for pathogens to grow and develop over time, and that isn't the sort of thing you want to be drinking.

If the water had been in the open, and most importantly moving, then it would be a different story.

Ok I didn't make it clear, so long as the taste of the new bottle don't make you gag, I didn't mean to imply you store water in it and don't change it.
