Taga is a bicycle that can carry up to 2 children on it and it also converts easily into a buggy. It's an easy, cost-effective way of travelling around with the kids and it's good for the environment too!

As stockists, we wanted to guage your opinions on this because we want to raise awareness of this product so less people will use their cars or the bus and instead get on their bikes.

What do you think of this product? We would love to hear your views.

It's expensive.

Your almost verging on spam here! However, I've just google Taga and I have to say, that is a pretty cool piece of kit. However at £1700 it is way out of most people price range!

I'm not sure I'd want to commute with 2 kids on the bike, the standing position looks fun for pootling round the park but not safe for the road.

In fact I'm not sure i'd want to commute with 1 kid on it, because the kids face is at exhaust height.

Other than it doesn't seem designed for comuting its a neat idea but VERY expensive.

I agree with origamist that its expensive, though the idea of being able to convert a bicycle into a buggy is good. As that was often one of the problems that I had with my children when they were younger - hence we usually walked every where locally. Not sure that it would be much good going to school - it looks as if they would have out grown it by then, and it would probably be easier to have a tag along then.

Very expensive, Think about getting a good buggy and a good bike, your spending just over £1000 for those depending on what your getting. so the £700 is for convienice?

Eh? The kid's face is higher than if they were walking. Most exhausts are rather lower than that.

The kid is higher than in a pushchair too, I think....

Anyway, you're better off in the open air than in a car, where your air intake is pretty much at exhaust height, and the fumes just recirculate around the car...

Yeah, it's not cheap, but then you can spend a fortune on all sorts of kids's stuff, and remember most people think more than £50 for a bike is a rip off...

I don't have issues with it other than it's another product that indicates to the masses that if they want to be healthy/green/whatever and go by bike they're going to have to shell out 1700 quid to do so.
I do have issues with thinly-veiled advertising wrapped in greewash spin - first post too!

I like it - it's an innovative design, and it should win awards.

I wouldn't have one, 'cos it's not a bike, and my kids are too old for that.

Yes to some of the positioning stuff, but you don't push a baby around on the road. In the taga, the baby would be directly behind the car.

£1700 is VERY expensive, even if you are one of the mugs that £400 on a top notch pushchair.

I really don't think there's much difference between being on the road, and being on a pavement next to a road, in those terms. I think the exhaust thing is a red herring.

Cost, yes, it's way more than I would/could spend. But each to their own.

the exhaust diffusion is very rapid so distance does matter. I think it's nifty, agree it's overpriced though.

As for the spam aspect, for once I didn't feel spammed, I thought the intent of the post was clear and it invited opinions and discussion rather than taking a hard sell line. If they then go on to respond to some of the points raised then I think that's fair enough.
