It is a good improvement. I have been meaning to get lighter parts for my bike as it weights a tonne. And recommendations to cheap parts?

Well i weighed up loads of options and the racing 7s got really good reviews for an entry level set. I've saved around 1kg overall

big weight loss ;)

Matthew- Wheels, Forks, bars and stem are the easiest cheapest areas to upgrade without going for a full groupset and frame. Also remember things like wheels are an investment but are transferable

Tyres crack even in the best conditions.

Use them. My two sets of Pro Race 2's are 4 years old, stored in cool conditions, out of sun - they crack. They also still stick to the road. Ride them.
