As long as I breathe, I attack.
Picked up a 1992 badged Full Sus MTB from freecycle yesterday , in need of tyres + inner tubes but otherwise in good nick .

I went out and got some conti comfort contact tyres 26x1.75 and after a bit of tweaking i have a rideable back up bike .So far i have onlky had to do some minor truign of the rims, adjust the brakes , add tyres and make the rear suspension as solid as possible. The front suspension is non adjustable but as long as i spin up hills it should not suck to much power.

21 speed with a 7 speed freewheel.

Sorry for the picture, camera phone as it was getting dark .

Gotta love freecycle. I've just ebayed my hack. Built from 2 donors off freecycle and ridden for a couple of years.

I've ordered a new bike, but our lass had said "1 in, 1 out"

Definitely , but a free one for use in snow rather than a roadie with 23 mm slicks. Will be ok for pootling around the park with mini ck when he is ready .

Perfect use for that. Glad the rear sus could be stiffened up.

My decent MTB seems to just do Tag-a-long duties and ice/snow riding these days.
