New Year plans

It is now currently 0015 hours in Australia and will not be very much behind here in Vietnam so I wish everyone a Happy New Year.

Instead of making the normal resolutions can we have have thread of cycling related events etc. that we would like to achieve in 2013.

There is a good chance that I will be back in the UK during the coming summer so my hope is that I will be able to attend one or more of the CC rides!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm going to raise my sights a little from my initial NY resolution.

3 x FNRttC rides
3000km worth of audax rides to deliver:

• 10 x audax altitude award points
• 2 x 150km rides
• 4 or 5 x 200km rides

Do the Elberadweg if my pal joins me else do the Rhine Radweg
Do two different Coast to Coast rides: Way of the Roses plus one other

I suppose if I had to think of a personal cycling goal for 2013 it would be a 100 mile ride; probably in the summer when the days are longer and warmer.

Must get out with the Fridays again, at least Cardiff-Swansea , maybe London- Brighton
Must get back on the bike commuting
Must try at least one TT in my life and it might as well be this year.

There's a nice flattish 100 mile audax organised by the Clifton Cycling Club. It starts at Stamford bridge and takes in much of the territory covered by the York- Hull FNRttC.

It was held in July this year.
