Off too New York next week, been in training for all the walking. Big list of things that we are doing, so going to be a rather busy holiday. On a cruise two weeks after that, and will probably need the rest lol .

Only thing I`m not looking forward to is the tipping, however not a lot I can do about it.

Nope now 20%+ in NYC plus sales tax.

Yes they ask you for tips continually.
My friend and I went to NY and Boston years ago and in Boston the taxi driver got lost when taking us to the hotel round an industrial estate.

Upton arrival at the hotel we refused to tip him and he went mad. But we didn't and that was that. Service sector people really grease round you for tips which I found really horrible.

At the restaurant, they have tipping followed by gratuity following by service charge.
