Hi - this is my first post on this forum and I am looking for some advice re Gates Belt Drive bikes. I recently had my trusty Nexus hub geared Revolution Courier nicked and I am looking for a replacement. I like the geared hub as they are largely maintenance free (or at least mine was - no problems after 10k+ miles commuting) and I am also interested a Gates Belt Drive.
Although I was using Marathon Plus to avoid punctures, which seemed to work, and that is what I would probably fit on any new bike, I am slightly worried if I had a puncture and had to loosen / remove the back wheel to replace the tube. I guess what I'm worried about is how easy it would be to re-tension the belt correctly street-side, as opposed to at home.
All advice much appreciated.
Oh and btw the bikes I am looking at are the Roux A8 and the Scott Sub Speed 10 for a daily all year round commute of about 5 miles each way.
