Newbie looking for nice (not too hard) trails

Hi all, new poster / biker here. I live in Borehamwood just within the M25. I've just got myself a new bike and looking to take it out as much as possible.

So Are there any websites or such where I can locate trails not too far from where I live?

I did try google, but the first track It suggested (along the train tracks) I found to be blocked by what looked like an anti-bike gate

Thanks a lot for your suggestions. Hopefully I'll get home early enough to try that B'mwood track.
