First timer on the forum, been back in the saddle for a fortnight after having not ridden in anger since I was a teenager, loving every minute of it.

Got a Globe San Francisco 2 with a Shimano IG-3 Internal 3 speed hub, and managed last night to tear the inner tube on the rear tyre round the valve with a combination of over-aggressive pumping and a possibly perished tube. If I can't repair the tube, and given the location of the rip I'm guessing not, then how easy is it to remove and reattach the rear wheel given all the gubbins attached to it? Guy at Evans tried to put me off, and I can't find any info anywhere on either the Specialized or Shimano sites, so I'm turning to you lot for help. Cheers in advance...

Sorry never come across this hub and I would think this is the reason why others have not posted either. Glad you have got it sorted and welcome to the forum.
