Thanks for all your lovely responses.

I survived my first off road since breaking my arm! Went to a local forest last night and did a quick half hour on some easy trails. A bit sandy so lost the back end a couple of times coming downhill but all in all a fairly positive experience. I am slower and more tentative than I was before my accident but I guess at least I did it and didn't feel too bad and will no doubt regain confidence with time.

Now for a new bike! I have posted a very long thread in the mountain bike/off road section if anyone fancies giving me some advice. Have a nice long list of bikes I like the look of! Just need to try and make a decision when I have a look at them all this weekend!

I've got lots of envy for people who ride in flat areas .... got it all wrong today and ended up having to walk up a hill:blush: I can normally cycle up - oh for flat country . Welcome whilst turning green with envy.
