Hello and I'm new on here too rest assured everyone is very friendly on here!

I'm also from Kent but in Ramsgate so a fair few miles away! I have done a ride in the Marden/Yalding area and it was great brilliant countryside and nice quiet roads. Good luck with your cycling and most of all enjoy!!
