Hi everyone,
I'm hoping this is the right forum to post this thread on, anyway here goes.
I'm currently in the process of buying my first road bike,(any advice gratefully received) I currently own a boardman comp hybrid and feel it's about time to upgrade to a big boy bike!!
I live in the Sheffield area (great for hills) and currently do two or three rides a week. I usually ride about thirty or forty miles out to the Peak District and back.
Hopefully when I get the new bike I will be able to increase the miles a bit, I'm contemplating joining a cycling club if anyone has any suggestions.
Ok think that's my intro done, look forward to hearing from a few of you.

Hi Paul, warm welcome from a fellow sheffield rider not up to your standard but have been looking at joining the sheffield CTC If you go on there web site and sign up for free to get emails about there rides seem they ride most weeks from hillsbourgh park and do around 40 mile. Bit to far for me but in march they are staring rides of about 20 mile suitable for new riders and I will defiantly be trying a ride out with them. They also have weekends away hope this helps. If your ever round Rother valley drop me a message and I will have a ride out with you if you don't mind waiting for me at top of any hills we my encounter cheers shaun
