Actually it used to be a very good paper many years ago when it used to be printed on large sheets of paper, when you cut it up into squares and hung it up on the toilet door it would last all week. Not many other papers would last that long.

Would often browse it or check what the headline was..same with the sun..otherwise is feel left out in the pub I used drink in..I don't think I've ever bought either of those papers though. I'm not a great paper buyer..as I hate buying all the bits Luke on a Sunday but never getting to read them..and seeing them in the recycling bin. I tend to buy the telegraph when I'm on the mainland..seems to have best sport coverage..guardian is terrible. Used to get observer on a Sunday but times tends to be bought as they do a NI edition that has Irish ,northern Irish and general UK news..
I don't think its any victory..the people who lost their Jobs in general weren't this who were involved in the whole scandal..but its white collar ducking responsibilities..

Potential stupid question alert , but why isn't, or hasn't there been a seven day newspaper? Is there some ancient law forbidding it? (Like being able to find a chippy that's open on a Sunday)

The amazing thing is that although no one ever admits to buying it, it has a circulation of well over two million and more ABC1 readers than any of the broadsheets.

Ahem, the Glasgow Herald does. 'Herald On Sunday' admittedly.

At one time the Sundays were produced by a different squad to the dailies. In recent years they often (Star, Express for instance) have merged so there is less difference between daily and Sunday.
