Next bike already

Ok..so I've only had my cheap 2nd hand bike less than a week and already I'm looking at getting my next bike!

I'm torn between a hybrid and a hardtail MTB...what I want to do is long bike rides with a mix of surfaces but mainly off road on tracks, bridleways and the suchlike..im not worried about speed just the best set up for long rides...any advice welcome!

My Cube Acid (hardtail MTB) is one of my most comfortable bikes. Upright, easy to maintain, cheap and you can adapt the tyres you run to your ride, add bar ends, racks etc.

I had a pretty comfy hybrid but it wasn't very good on rougher terrain.

IMHO you don't need suspension forks for bridleways and tracks. An MTB will feel heavy and sluggish on the road. A hybrid with bigger tyres would be you best choice. You don't specify a budget but this would be suitable:https://www.evanscycles.com/pinnacle-lithium-5-2017-hybrid-bike-EV275575
