I notice that Jeremy Hunt is springing into action. Oh sorry, actually he's nowhere to be seen. He's not even tweeted!
Do we have a Health Secretary at the moment? I'm sure someone must know.

(And isn't this why we have a CEO of the NHS? The Health Secretary should be a hands-off strategic type.)

Yes we do. He's not an MP during the election period but he remains as a Government Minister.

To an extent yes, this is why a CEO is in position, but it is rather disappointing that the Government Minister responsible for the service has gone AWOL

According to somebody on the Lincolnshire Echo website it is the Conservatives to blame.Not sure how he works that one out.
 
My understanding is that everything that holds the data is unaffected. Some PCs that act as portals to access the data have been affected.

We don't appear to have been affected so far, but have been told to power down computers and not access them over the weekend.
