This 'lady' was so desperate to overtake me that she failed to notice the island on the middle of the road. Oops!

Tehe, I had one of these yesterday In her defence there was snow on the center and the island might have been obscured, apart from the big illuminated posts that you normally get on a traffic island Thankfully she backed off when she noticed it. Best ones are the ones we walk away from

I didn't notice it until she hit it. How often do they replace the bollard there ?

This is Govan. Any replacement bollard will end up in someones bedroom within about 20 minutes!

I had someone do that to me in Islington once

Except the island was one of those 8 inch high jobs - they rode the car up onto it, bollard went flying and then they couldn't reverse off. I stopped to help, but it was no good, gearbox (or something) was jammed. They had to get towed off it.

Aye, it was a shame the island wasn't a little higher. Oh how I'd laugh!

Sometimes I wish my camera was helmet mounted - once had a guy parallel turn onto the major road, alongside me and heading in the same direction. He hit the bollard.
