I'll be following from Worcester to Telford (ish) on Sun 25th.

If its a nice day, local train to Stourbridge then follow the ride. I'll carry on past Telford until I start feeling tired, then turn back to Telford to the train.

I say "if its a nice day" because the target speed is to average 20mph. Not really my pace in the rain on a bike with mudguards. More like my Spesh in the dry.

I can see by the number of enthusiastic replies, this event is VERY popular.

Anyway. They've started.

Here's the website again, JIC you couldn't get to it through the first web address I posted.

I know why the silent response.

Its not really a "Challenge". 100km per day for thirteen days is Api Sapis.

Even I could do that.

Let's face it. Any self respecting member of CycleChat should easily ride LEJOG Brevet Populaire Multiples starting tomorrow if their boss gives them the time off.

What's the big deal?

Can I ride with Nigel and his team?
There will also be four places every day reserved for sponsored riders. These riders will have “paid” for their place by securing at least £10,000 (TBC) in sponsorship from their friends, colleagues or employers – or anyone else prepared to part with money for them to ride.

Thats got to be a typo!

It's odd that they are not showing Leicester on the map - they have a major event planned here on August 2nd:wacko:

I saw Leicester on the map.

Studying the route details for Sunday 25th July, the departure time in Worcester is 06:00 ( bloody early on a Sunday ). ETA at Chester is 5 to six in the evening !

A TWELVE hour century!!

Worcester to Stourbridge is 36km, or 22.5 miles. I reckon they'll be riding at 15 mph, so they'll take an hour and a half to get to Stourbridge, passing through at about half past seven.

Stourbridge is 30km from my house, so I'll need to set off at about the same time as Nigel & Co. leave Worcester, to give myself plenty of time to push through the crowds.

I'd really be taking this serious if Nigel & Co. were to pass the Cyclist's Memorial in Meriden, Starley's house in Cov' and then back through Brum.
