If the common thing was 'back then' maybe they were more comfortable with 'back then' attitudes?

I'm sure all of them would have 'moved on' and not just you.

I don't often get together with my pub mates, but we are all busy with our own lives.

We have one lad, he was one of my best mates, but he's been an arse with so many of my mates, not me, he's really got a grumpy old git....

I.e. doesn't turn up at 40ths...we are not that old......

I don't get out to the pub these days - if I do it will be with my dad and my bro to watch footie - maybe once a year......life moves on..... we had a blast with families camping from school - 6 or so of us, we all sort of mix, but aren't 'mates' - had a right laugh.....
