Don't get me wrong, I'm not a preacher. I eat and drink all sorts of stuff that are supposedly bad for us, the odd dose of caffeine included. Someone did ask why would you give up coffee though. Plus I have never seen the attraction of having to constantly have a mug of tea/coffee in my hand.

It's the old story; everything in moderation!

I work at home. Apart from wasting spending time on CycleChat, the attraction of that mug of tea is that making it, drinking it (and then frequent trips to the loo) are all excellent displacement activities! That's the trouble with being paid for the job not paid by the hour...

My husband switched to decaff about a year ago and hasn't noticed a drop in energy, if anything he feels better for it.
I don't drink coffee at all, have about one cup of tea a day but I do drink a can of diet coke most days, so I don't really know that caffeine fix feeling.
Although when I'm feeling cold and flu-ey I take cold tablets with caffeine in and get quite a rush!

I enjoy decent coffee. I don't drink instant. It's fresh coffee or tea for me. I do tend not to drink any after about 4pm though. Usually start the day with a fresh coffee - good for kick starting the system. One more on arrival at work, then it's tea all day.

I had an arguement with my dad as I told him he was addicted to caffeine. He couldn't believe it. I said have you ever gone one single day without a cup of coffee? He said that he hadn't but he know's that he could meaning that he wasn't addicted. I said prove it and go tomorrow without a cup. He said he wouldn't but knowing that he could was proof:wacko:

I have a heart rhythm problem (atrial fibrillation) and caffeine is one of the things I am supposed to avoid. I was never a big tea or coffee drinker anyway, so it was no big deal for me. Maybe you are just suffering some sort of withdrawals?
Hopefully but 2 months is long enough I'm falling asleep at 8pm argh!

I will not resort to energy drinks like a lot of the nation seem to live on (including kids wtf?) But if it carries on to next month our shopping may consist of either lots of fruit juices, two types of coffee, or lots of those cadburys boost bars with gurana (or however you spell it)

I didn't realise coffee gave you energy. I thought it just made you more alert/awake.

Just don't eat anything with Guano in it!!!

2 months is a long time for the body to have not adjusted isn't it?

Thought guano was a delicacy in certain countries

And 2 month is a very long time for me I usually shake any illnesses off quicker than most

Reckon an unwanted trip to the docs maybe needed
