just ridden away from a fabulous sunrise on my commute to work , it was one of those moments when you say to your self why doesnt my phone have a camera or why dont i have my camera !

the only problem was i kept having to stop and look as it was behind me rather than in front .

and the only other problem was it was in wellingborough !

It was a stunning sunrise here in Suffolk this morning as well - red and golden ridged sky from the horizon to almost overhead. By the time I'd fed cat and chickens, the best was over.

Savour the moment.

I used to take snaps on my lovely little Olympus XA until it was pinched, and had boxes of slides which I never looked at. Now I just keep scenes 'in the cloud' i.e. in my head, where I can recall them whenever I want. I'm always perplexed by tourists who will stand in front of a building, take three photos and rush off without actually looking at what is in front of them.

There is a lot to what you say.

I think the need is to find a balance

Just call me Chris...
You need a new phone! Seriously, I think phone cameras are absolutely fantastic, having a camera on me 99% of the time is a real boon.
The quality is also pretty good nowadays, I've got some good snaps on a mobile!

The big drawback with phone cameras is that someone can call you on your camera! With my trusty Canon G1X compact nobody can reach me, and better still I can take DSLR quality photographs.

Phone cameras are OK,but nothing beats having a quality camera with you.
