I can't even ride to work, but apparently it is not a good idea to raise your blood pressure and hence the pressure in your eyes when you have had the front of the eye cut open xx(

Mind you, wish I had done it before

Hope it turns out OK Ranger, a week off the bike is bad but if the eyes are sorted then it will be worth the sacrifice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No exercise for 7 days afterwards, I imagine they do not want to risk you jumping around too much and shaking your cornea loose, I would imagine getting similar advice after any surgery ('cause that is what it is)

As for people being worried about it, the best I can explain it was as uncomfortable (not painful) at the very beginning when they fold back the front of your eye as they use a vacuum, I think, to lift it away and so there is a bit of pressure. The actual laser bit is fine with my entire procedure lasted less than 10 minutes, I was in the place less than 1 hour beginning to end.

As for after effects (I am now on day 3) vision was perfect 3ish hours after, the only 'pain' was similar to wearing my contacts too long and the only worry in the morning when I wake up and think "S*** I've fallen asleep in my lenses, oh that's right I can see now" and I now have better than 20/20 vision. All in all very impressed
