This reasoning for wearing gloves almost suggests you would expect to crash when you go out, I don't think I'd get as much enjoyment if I took that view.

The main reason I wear gloves is so that the padding protects the hands from vibration etc.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
