It was relocated to North Korea.

Well, a forum developing nuclear capability would be something to worry about.

Omce I got past the "an error has occurred" message, I see it is because it contains adult content. So whereas in other forums, access approval can be needed to stop adult content being posted, here it is the other way around?

No big loss imo.

and you can't even read it without having to apply for access. Why is that?

It is a device to:

a) Stop drive-by complaints from people who don't actually use the forum
b) Allow me to exclude people who chose to misuse it

Cheers,
Shaun

It seems to me a bit sordid to have within a group of otherwise family-friendly forums one whose content is deemed so adult or potentially offensive that it requires special permission to even read it, let alone post to it!

It doesn't require special permission.

It's a simple technical matter. I cannot know who would want to access it, so you just have to tell me, that's all. I then add you to the usergroup who can see that forum. Job done.

Anyone with 50 or more posts can access it.

Ok but asking someone to be added to a group to view it is still effectively asking for permission when nothing is needed for all the others.

I see the group rationale and references to adult content in the explanatory signup post seem to have gone or have they been moved elsewhere? [edit: found the post on the Board forum, so not moved].It seems to sit alongside the spirit of the cafe like a motel with Norman Bate's mum in a locked room .
