There was one that merited a similar response on (I think...) the same site
Sadly I can't find it now
Someone called Coastguards, & they called Air-Sea Rescue
A dumb-ass parent had put their kid(s) on a Lilo, which...……….... floated out to sea
Cue arrival of big 'whirly-bird', crew-member winches down, grabs kid(s)
Knifes the lilo to sink it/prevent other calls
Air-Sea station Commander receives letter asking for compensation for the cost of the Lilo (about £8?)
Responds by stating he'd be happy to pay, bur would deduct it from the £7,000 cost of the rescue operation, when the parents paid their bill
