oh no, she was oblivious to everything apart from the Heat magazine she was reading. Joke. No, she didnt think she had done anything wrong or how close the lorry was. totaly unaware. I doubt if she has lights on the bike for nighttime, red lights are just pretty colours in the sky which match that dress she once wore on a date. It wasn't deathly close, but if she continues doing it it will be too close. the driver of the truck didnt see her. oh well.

we had cycling tests at schools in the 70's.

i see blackfriers bridge is finisihed, wide pavements and a whole lane for cyclists. Well, its meant to be but MB's and taxis seem to infringe on it.

Motorists have to pass a test but then forget everything that they've learned. I do not believe that passing a test stops anyone acting carelessly.

No, but it makes it easier to hold them to account when they do, the defence of ignorance is removed.

However I also believe that many cyclists simply do not realise the danger they put themselves in. I think education would help. How many cyclists who pedal up the left of trucks have no idea that they are invisible? My bet is quite a few.
