Noise cancelling earbuds recommendations for less than £100?

Music or audio books or podcasts are pretty good for commuting time filling but not with the noisy neighbours wittering on about anything and everything. Or the parent with young child aneasthetised with phone or tablet streaming the latest telleytubbies replacements,. Or those inexcusable POS (pieces of shoot) who listen to their excrementable choice of music without headphones from their phones.

So as a cycle commuter who uses mixed modal transportation I need something noise cancelling, compact for carrying when not wearing and cheapish at less than £100. I am sick of trying to cram in my sony over the ear ones into my bag when not being used. I would like a pocketable earbud instead as I tend not to use my headphones due to bulk when carrying.

So far I have seen Anker Soundcore Liberty 4 NC for about £40 something. Also The C39 I thinjk they are from Anker for £30-40. All in prime day (last day today though). Also Earfun pro 3 I think they are called are cheap at £35. They sound like an amazon brand and will disappear and come back with a new name in the next week or month or so. Are they a decent but cheap brand and is their NC any good?

I was spoilt by a freebie I claimed from Samsung after buying a phone from them 5 or so years ago that was absolutely amazing for NC. In fact I put it on once turned on the NC took everything away (even my partner shouting at me next to me I could not hear). They were AKG branded over the ear ones and about £3-400 back then or free with the phone that was about £499 at the time!! So nothing will beat those (or they will because Son lost them).

So anything good and cheapish with NC that is good and effective at screening out the annoyances of public transport?? In ear too I might add so they are compact for carrying.

Thank you in advance.

I don't have a pair with NC but I have these Earfun Air buds

I really rate them. The sound quality is excellent and they have got 5 star reviews from What Hifi for years https://www.whathifi.com/reviews/earfun-air

Anker products are reliable & you get alot for your money compared to the big brand names. I have the older version anker p30i, they're very good, not quite as good as the Jabra buds (6x the price), but almost.

Sony WF-C710s are around the £100 mark, which have good reviews.

I have the WF-1000XM5s and they are very good but they're a bit more expensive.

Edit to add: might be worth considering waiting a little longer - Sony will be releasing their XM6 upgrade to their flagship XM5s later this year, which will result in the current ones being heavily discounted.
