Hey everyone, since getting my bike serviced a few weeks ago, my rear disk brake has been painfully noisy. A harsh squeal noise.

I wondered if they had forgotten to do something during the service? Any tips?

Is the noise just when you pull the brake?

If not and it's just as you're riding along it will just need reseating which is done by slackening the caliper bolts, applying the brake, tightening slightly, reapplying brake then fully tightening

Yes it's only when I pull the break. It's a brand new(ish) bike so I'm a bit worried I'm damaging it so I'm relying on front disk only

Sounds like the disc or pad are contaminated with something and need a clean, perhaps something got in there when they serviced the bike

Take it back and tell the shop and they'll be able to clean it very quickly
