Thatcher did not want to abolish free school milk. She spoke strongly against it, however she believed in collective responsibility (2 words unknown to the present government) and therefore followed out the cabinets wishes.

A couple of years ago the Catholic club that my brother attended had one of these deathlists, where you draw a name out of the hat and pay your £1 etc. If your selection dies you win:sad:

He drew 'The Pope!'

A good case could be made. As it is, the British car industry was flogged off for a song, a few people made a packet and the workers lost their jobs and are presumably now on benefits. The manufacturing sector wasn't all Red Robbo and his like, but it's still all gone.

By the British car industry I presume you refer to British Leyland which went broke cos the cars were crap and workers were constantly on strike.

Mrs T did manage to see of the miners which that we could be led by a democraticly elected government rather than a bunch of militant miners.
