Neoliberalism* sucks. Keynsianism rules.
*The most vile ideology next to fascism.
You put Neoliberalism next to Fascism? Jeez.
Oh and the idea of Free markets 'rules' but it's not going to happen...
People have differing opinions, all i know is that this country wouldn't be half of what it is today is it weren't for Thatcher.

Didn't we once have a manufacturing industry, coal mines, a sense of society?
All gone under Thatcher. The sooner the evil old bat snuffs it the better IMHO.
And yes, I'll celebrate. Too flaming right I will.
Fair enough, you concentrate on the only flaws in her stint as PM. You just forget all the good work she did, i suppose?

I can never contemplate the demise of You Know Who without recalling Byron on the death of Castlereagh...

'Posterity will ne'er survey,
A nobler grave than this:
Here lie the bones of Castlereagh:
Stop, traveller, and piss.'

Her neoliberal approach revitalised our economy, she made Britain competitive within the worlds economy for the first time since the 1930s. Her approach of lower income taxes coupled with less government interference was radicle and is the preferred approach for much of the democratic world. She also enabled people to buy their council homes, over 1.5 million people took this offer up. She supported the decriminalisation of homosexuality as early as the 60s! Within 3 years of her being in power, inflation rates were down by 10% of the previous highs. During her 11 years as prime minister, GDP rose by 23.3%
SHE MADE A SPEACH ON GLOBAL WARMING IN 1988!
She was a fantastic PM. You go out in the street to party is you wish...

Earth....Earth to Darkstar...come in Darkstar your movements are becoming very erratic is everything ok up there?

Considering the OP you've got to believe that Cranky should be on this list. Not because I wish him any harm but just that it's hard to see how he survives another year? Based on his track record my money's on him going down to a pack of, genetically altered, chav/poodle crossbreeds.

After his rant I'm not sure darkstar isn't Paul Dacre.

Surely Clive Dunn has got to go this year - along with Norman Wisdom and that fat Israeli politician who had a stroke years ago - Ariel Sharon. Leslie Phillips as an outside be - he still looks quite spritely.

We need another Maggie Thatcher imo she was the best PM in living memory.

Mrs T knew how to get the country out of a financial mess the current one and gave the country it's self respect again.
