Non-Chemical clothes detergent

I use those "Eco Balls" for my laundry, which are superb for everything except my rancid cycling top.

What other detergent(s) can people recommend that aren't full of chemicals?

Yeah, might give Ecover a try. Doesn't seem to be based on petrochemicals.
