The following is a good story in the comments from the Guardian obituary:

England were playing West Germany in a friendly at Wembley in the days when they had home referees. It was Jack Taylor. As they were on the long walk out for the second half Taylor came alongside Hunter and said 'Wolgang Overath spent the whole first half mouthing at me and I've had enough. If he comes near you, kick him and I won't do anything'.

Just read on another forum that Trevor Cherry died yesterday. Heart attack rather than the virus according to what I read.
