North London frames?

Discussion in 'Bicycle Mechanics and Repairs' started by Doug19, 20 Nov 2007.

  1. Aside from Monsignor Vaz and our learned fellows at Colourtech (Deptford, good grief) is there anyone for frame builds/resprays on the correct side of the Thames? I have a 1974 Carlton frame I'd like to build but I'm a know-nothing and need hand-holding.

Also, is it safe to cold spread the rear frame to take a 9 sp hub, or should I use this for a fixie? Its got long horizontal Campy drop outs. I've got a Condor Italia with a bust head tube (2 yrs old, thanks guys), so need to swap the Campy gear to something else. Its my commuter and I fancy a solid Mr Reynolds frame.
