North Yorkshire Moors camp sites

The NYM seem to be a bit of a desert as far as campsites for cyclists & back packers are concerned, Has anybody any suggestions please

Lots? --- everything from the most basic farmer's field to the lush and luxurious

Hmm I had better go and look again, I found plenty of caravan parks but not many for tents. I have not noticed many in my travels around the area either. Perhaps its time I went to Specksaver

Did my DoE Gold across the NYM many years ago: p*ssed down for 4 days solid and my mind refuses to go back there so no advice on campsites but make esure you have a good waterproof

Kildale Barn is a camping barn and a camp site (and in Kildale surprisingly). We stayed there for a winter camping weekend back in January and it was very nice

There's a nice site in Rosedale - but the roads in and out are very steep.
