Listening to an old compilation and bumped into Superstition, which I've always thought of as in a sense the Stevie Wonder track, just as Moondance is the Van Morrison track and Bridge Over Troubled Water the Simon & Garfunkel track.

Is it just me or do others also regard certain tracks as 'definitive' like this....by which I mean not necessarily the biggest, much less the best, (nor do all bands/artists have one) but sort of defining tracks in some vague sense. God Save The Queen by the Sex Pistols, I Don't Like Mondays by the Boomtown Rats, that 'sort of thing' (whatever that is)?

Trans Europe Express by Kraftwerk.
It's the quintessential Kraftwerk soundscape IMHO.

Tarkus by ELP.
Pomp rock at its most overblown and nonsensical, with the possible exception of Karn Evil 9, which is the most baffling thing I've ever heard.

I have a very sad music collection...
