Not really a vintage bike

I was having my usual cup of tea and bacon sandwich at Tatton Park, when two chaps walked past my bike and one asked (who he thought was more knowledgeable) whether my bike was a vintage 50s bike. His friend says yes and explains that it is a 1950s Dawes Clubman. I kept quiet. I bought it new in 2013 and had it shipped out to Slovakia (where I was working) to use as a commuter.

Apologies, it's a Dawes Clubman from 2011(ish). I didn't realise how bad the photograph is.

Straight forks, aheadset and triple chainset! Most certainly NOT 1950s, and any fool knows that!

Weird… nobody seems to think my Centurion isn’t current, and it’s a 77.

It's amazing how many people don't believe my Viscount is from the '70s but I suppose it's because it doesn't have lugs.
