Not sure what this has to do with the TDF?

Sheffield's attempt at TDF art..now I realise art is subjective and I am of a more "function over form" kind of mindset..

All I see is just a pile of usable secondhand spare parts ruined by yellow paint

It certainly didn't seem to be attracting any attention, I doubt most people knew or cared why a yellow mountain-bso was taking up a cycle parking space...

looks like a mouldy ghost bike & why use a MTB to celebrate a road race

No idea...as I was walking up the road, some distance away I first thought it was a ghost until I realised the colour tint...from a distance I thought there had been an incident

The only reason I know it's TdF is from someone mentioning old bikes being sprayed yellow and left in random places

I bet no-one passing by had any idea. I doubt Sheffield City Council have any idea come to that...

That lock doesn't look very sturdy...where I come from, it'd be gone in a couple of hours! Some young un would be riding around telling his mates that he's blinged up his wheels!

We've got these in Loughborough too...I thought it was something to do with the police and bike theft because one of them had an accompanying sign. There's a crappy BMX here.

There were a bunch of them sprayed pink and left locked around Leicester a few years back, I think Cyclemagic did them to highlight cycling safety.
BTW they were scrap BSOs so no cycles were injured in the campaign. :bicycle:

The yellow bikes are supposed to mark the route, this doesn't look like the route, looks more like Arundel Gate/Arundel Street way?
