Oh dear, sorry.
Don't worry you're not alone we had a thread quite recently where someone had the rotted joists in a downstairs bathroom failed. You could try a search for it.

By the looks of it might of been easier to run it out through the eaves than what they have done, the mind boggles!

You are not allowed to with a condensate pipe, it has to go into some sort of drainage pipe, be it soil, kitchen waste or the gutter downpipe.

But the guidelines for the condensate pipework clearly state, that where it goes into any sort of pipe it should be a bonded connection

Must of changed the regulations when they went from trickle release to dumping a lot of water at one time to stop the conndensate pipe from freezing, mines is newly fitted and into the kitchen waste as you say.
