The last few days riding in the mist and fog in the hills and forests have been magical. It might not be much fun on the roads but when it comes to mtbing autumn is my favourite time of year. I just love the eerie silence and the feeling of solitude, the going isn't to bad at the moment either. Best make the most of it while I can before the bottomless pits of winter arrive, and strap the lights on for a few nocturnal excursions.

Can't imagine me doing all that mucky off road stuff. yeeeukk!!;)

But do agree. It's a great time of year. Getting out into the country lanes very early in the mornings is just fantastic.
The tree's are all starting to change colour, the mist rolling and rising over the hills and valley's.
What is also great is that the air is very still which makes for some nice and fast cycling.
