just got 3 message about replies to a few forums

so it seems to have done something

I only see that if I click on the "use custom" radio button. At which point, it shows

Even then, I notice there is no "reset" showing for me.

I logged out and back in for a second time and stuff appears to be back to normal (on both sites).

"Click" on each of those giving an alert to remove the alert, then click on the ones you want the alerts for.
A reset would give you what you've posted.

i.e. make a small change to the settings

which I think maybe what I did - then log off and on

but mine does seem to be working now

They were all ticked in all three boxes. SO I have removed the push and auto read ticks for almost everything, and removed the alerts I don't want, and we'll see if that makes a difference.

After logging out and back in as well, that seems to have fixed it. I'm now seeing notifications of new posts in watched threads again.

After a career working in IT I am very good at the advise to switch it off and on again


although I do miss the old days when people used to say "switch it on and off" instead

I couldn't find the settings that @classic33 refers to above - but I simply logged out and logged back in again.

I've just got my first alert for a watched thread since Saturday evening.

Thanks to all the posters above.

Tried the 'log out' then back in and it worked now just have to find the threads I've lost/mislaid.
