Hi Guys,

Just looking for a few ideas for a decent novel or two to read.

Usually enjoy Tom Clancy/Dale Brown/Larry Bond/Terence Strong et al. Can anyone recommend something similar? Amazon's not inspiring me

Cheers

Cussler is very good. I don't even notice that a lot of his books are basically the same. The pages just keep turning until you find yourself at the end!

How about W. E. B. Griffin? Plenty on intrigue and action. Try The Corps series as a starter.

Harry Turtledove's alternative history series are strangely readable too. The World War series is one i return to every few years.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
I agree with both clive cussler and chris ryan. Both very good authors. James Patterson is good as well, and how about the jack reacher books.

If you like a bit of horror, action and suspense try any book by Blake Crouch or J A Konrath.

I'm going to be cheeky and mention my cousin David Menon. Not just because his books are good (so says my Mum - haven't got round to reading them myself yet), but because his website is done by our own @Andrew_Culture!

Huzzah!

The railway man by Eric Lomax.
It's an autobiography that has recently been made into a film.
Much better than all this made up stuff. It will leave you in wonderment!
