I'm seriously tempted by the same bike, but the sleeker black stealth version which has only a small riveted nickel (maybe?) plate which has any info about the bike brand/name etc.

This version is also a lot cheaper at £450... me likes!!

But that version has only got a fixed hub, not a fixed/freewheel flip-flop like Arch's '72 version. Plus your version appears to have no brakes at all:ohmy::ohmy:.

Hmmm. No, I like the red one better. And £450 is still more than I've ever spent on a bike!

Sorry!:biggrin:

It's really not often I'm instantly attracted by something so mainstream. Normally, it's trikes or something like that.

I still hanker after a Ratcatcher, but it would have to be a special build for my short legs, and I'm not sure Mike's even making them anymore....

The thing is of course, that there is no point whatsoever in me having a sleek minimal machine of any sort, because I'd only go and load it up with panniers and bags and all sorts of crap.

Just go for it arch- eating and being warm's well overrated anyway!

I suppose stopping eating would get me down to a suitably minimal size for the bike...

Sadly, even if I gave up eating completely, I reckon it would take...

<does sums>

about 8 months to save up the money.... And I'll spend nothing on heating now, or only a very very little, until about September...

I'm with Noodley on this one. The bike sucks. How can you have a 'retro' frame with a sloping top tube? And a sloping chunky top tube at that!

Hilldodger will be along shortly to tell you about how every shape of bike has already been made at some point in the past. Probably in Leicester.
