There's lots of farm machinery moving around in the lanes at the moment. You don't want to run into those things. I don't think the weather effects the number of cars that pass too close, but it will mean more caravans.......and they do give me the heaby jeabies. Fair weather cyclists are too slow to be a nuisance. As for the insects, yep, no more rides without glasses on, and once it is warm enough for sun cream, beware of the endless little buggers sticking to your skin.

So they're not just targetting me then? My pet hate is when you're down to 3 or 4 mph grinding your way up a steep bit, too slow to take your hands off the bars to swat them away in case you get into a wobble. Don't know what the fascination is for them. I was starting to think I might need to change my shorts more regularly.

I get that from people at work, they can't believe I ride the six and a half miles from the next city, after almost five years I would have thought the comments would have stopped.
