Npower - desperate for cash?

I received my quarterly gas & electric bill on Wednesday 18th (by email) - I have until the 31st to pay.
Fair enough I thought, I'll sort that out this weekend.

The postie just visited, with a 'demand' from a dodgy sounding 'debt collector', related to Npower (dated 18th Jan) saying "We got in touch recently to remind you that you bill hasn't been paid yet. You must make arrangements to pay us within 7 days ..."

What's that all about?

They give you zero days to pay your bill before passing it on to a debt collector?

... off to complain ...

NPower are a shower of bar stewards, and I fully intend to leave their "service" ASAP..

My last statement showed that I had overpaid and was £220 in credit. Fine, I thought, that will mean I will pay less on my direct debit until the credit is eaten up. Wrong! They bumped my payment up by almost 50% :angry:. I have been in contact with them to explain that I want them to supply gas and electricity; I DO NOT want to bank with them! The fight is still on-going.
