I'll be wishing everyone a very Happy New Year on my own, some on the phone and some via social media. The kids are away and Mr K will be at work. I'll be watching Jules Holland and I'll have a tot of something alchafrolic, then I'll open the door to watch the neighbours send their wallets up in a colourful noisy display of lights and flashes.
Bike ride tomorrow, can't wait.

I will do the usual Thursday going to meet Hubster from hospital thing. Might stay up past midnight, might not. It depends on how tired I am feeling. Tomorrow we will probably go for a ride as it's going to pour with rain over the weekend.

A commis chef, Jamie Oliver recipe…… ..Nord Deutscher pepperpot for me. Not bothered about New Year, used to spend it camping in Glencoe but the weather was always truly awful.

I've just opened my first beer while MrsR is upstairs doing whatever it is women do before they go out. Off to our local Indian in an hour or so. It will be packed and the service will be slow, but the beer will keep coming and it should be a pleasant evening. Cheers all:

Was meant to be playing a DJ set to a house party of about 30 people. Just got here and there are about 500, it's outdoors, they have caterers doing BBQ, pizze, etc..professional firework display and the pool is hot tub temps.

Gonna need a drink afterwards...

Might need new shorts. Lots of people still arriving. I have a good set lined up that I've been practising for weeks but this is a bit out of my league to be honest.

Meant to be on in an hour but it's just dead air now...
