Hi everyone,

Another bike collected! I'm not sure if this is a Rory O' Brien or not, limited information online it seems.
The bike is very light and goes well, non-matching rims but I think still looks ok. Weinmann brakes don't seem to have the date on, just has 'brake made in Switzerland' on the calipers. Do we think a sixties frame maybe?

One of the cranks is loose unfortunately, need t DSCN1853.JPG DSCN1854.JPG DSCN1859.JPG DSCN1860.JPG o work on the cotter pin as it doesn't stay tight for long at all. Will keep plugging away:smile:

Sorry to rain on your parade but I think what you've got there is not a Rory O'Brien but a O'Brien International bike. It was a budget brand which supplied to mail order catalogues and the like.

Certainly could be sixties or seventies and still an interesting bike.

Think you are right Cycleops, I did find one or two photo's online and the real deal bikes seem to have 'Rory O'Brien' and a slightly different badge.

I guess mine is hopefully a 531 frame though, it sure is light. Has a 5 or 6 digit number on the BB.
