The total of all Big Brother TV I've watched is about 10 seconds - the sum of all times I've realised it's there and turned it off or retuned.
Same goes for the celebrities in the jungle programme, and Eastenders, and quite a few more.
Tempted to delete Channel 5, 5+1, and anywhere else it might appear from the channel list for the duration.
The bit that got me (when it was originally shown) was that photosynthasis only works with wave theory, it breaks down using a partical model. So the basis of all flora on Earth does not obey the proven laws of Physics, but follows a model that is still up for discussion. Mad.
Same goes for all physics, and in fact all science. It isn't science if there's no route to falsifying it. That's what makes science work. Quantum mechanics is just as much a proven law of physics as is relativity or any other. There's a load more to learn about it, but what we do know works and gives useful and good predictions and results. (And don't use the cliché of suggesting gravity as a proven theory, as physicists only know what it does, not what it is!)
Plenty more besides photosynthesis is 'quantum mechanical'. Start with the semiconductor parts of your computer, not to mention your brain!
