Anyone know or understand these?

I gather I can get prescription lenses in Oakley or similar shades
Can you get bifocals or whatever?
When I am cycling I need to see the Garmin and the Smartphone
If you have prescription lenses can you still putdifferent tint lenses on top?

Excue my ignorance.
Wearing normal specs at the moment and my eyes are getting a bit sore

I prefer my glasses in two parts.

I have the glasses and a small insert

This way I can change the prescription lens when I need to, and can also change the outer lens to different colours as the weather dictates.

The local Boots provided the varifocal lenses

Who makes those frames - looks like Evista? Where can you get them from

Optilabs do both vari and bifocal lenses.

Ian - i looked at there web site but left confused having never used such glasses.
Do i

1. Buy the frames of my choice (with interchangeable lenses)
2. Take my prescription with me so they can make inserts?

Or do i have that totally wrong ....
I just buy the style i want/like and they make the lenses to my prescription, meaning i get 1 tint only?

Yes @Kies I think you are in a similar state of confusion as me

They can do both. Frames with normal prescription lenses and frames with inserts.

I don't follow. The prescription is either in the add on inserts as post 2 or they direct glaze the lenses with the prescription. This limits choice of frames and costs much more and you can only have one colour or photochromatic

OK I see, as I need prescription lenses and want various colours then I can't have those, I want ones where both prescription lenses and changeable colour shades on front are possible

There are two configurations...
1. A single lens that is optical
2. A pair of lenses of which one (usually the insert) is optical
