Odd dragging feeling

I once did a 40 miler after putting a new chain on in poor lighting the night before , the chain was over the wee lug on the rear mech and I had two saw marks where it had been rubbing , I did wonder why my average speed was 12mph

I have similar problems. Please guys read my thread as it has reached a dead end and I'm really at the edge of crying...
