Glad you're OK mate, mostly. I've had a front deflation and luckily managed to stop before it was completely flat, down Anerley Hill for those of you that know it. Luckily I always keep the speed down along there, else that'd be a 50mph descent easy.

Sounds nasty, I've never had a front wheel puncture but I nearly lost it once when a wheel reflector twisted and jammed briefly in the spokes. That saw me on the other side of the road on the grass verge. Hope you're OK tomorrow, be prepared to feel a bit stiff.

Front instant deflations are rare, thank god. Just not worth thinking about the what if. Odds on it won't happen at high speed.

Touch wood, the last and only front wheel p'ture Ive had was on the Etape Caledonia, when some prat decide to spread 1000 carpet tacks on the course; it was pretty rapid and freaked out a lot of folk in the pack but fortunately the downhill was to an open bend so I was able to control it.

Can you imagine saying to the boss....sorry cannot get in as I am rebuilding my bike.......not sure it would hold water.

Ouch, glad all seems ok and no major damage.

Ouch, glad you're okay. I'm still serving the ban cycling ban imposed by Mrs rb58 following my commuting incident last Friday. I'm hoping I'll be allowed out to play this weekend though as withdrawal symptoms have set in.

Cheers, gutted I couldn't cycle in today as the weather is glorious. Had to get my fix with a spin session at the gym this morning early doors. Hope to get it back on the road tonight .
